Terms of Service

Effective July 3, 2026

These terms govern UMI, the yacht tracking service at umi.yachts, operated by Olly.ai Labs LLC, a Pennsylvania (USA) limited liability company (UMI, we, us).

Acceptance of terms01

By creating an account, starting a subscription, or using UMI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service02

UMI shows live and simulated tracking of yachts and superyachts, built from public AIS broadcasts and a deterministic simulation. Vessels marked SIM are synthetic: their positions, movements, and histories are generated by the simulator and do not describe any real vessel. We may change, suspend, or retire features at any time.

Accounts03

You sign in with an email magic link; there is no password. You are responsible for the mailbox tied to your account and for everything done under your session. Keep your email address current, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Subscriptions and billing04

Paid plans are Deckhand at $12 per month and Bridge at $39 per month, billed by Stripe. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods except where the law requires. Prices may change; we will give notice before a change applies to you.

Acceptable use05

Do not scrape the service, resell or redistribute its data, probe or overload our infrastructure, share your session, or use UMI to harass or surveil any person. Automated access outside a plan that includes API access is not permitted. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

Not for navigation06

UMI is not a navigation, safety, or collision-avoidance tool and must never be used for safety of life at sea.

AIS-derived data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Position data originates from public AIS broadcasts and from simulation, and is provided for general awareness only. Never rely on UMI for navigational or safety decisions; use official charts, onboard equipment, and qualified crew.

Warranties and liability07

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, Olly.ai Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination08

You may stop using UMI and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including the safety disclaimer, warranty disclaimer, and limitation of liability, survive.

Governing law09

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms10

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes get a new effective date posted here and, where practical, email notice to account holders. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
